World Mental Health Day
Campaign Voices
Don’t ask for help. Don’t text first. Don’t be too eager. Don’t be cringe…
Sound familiar? That’s Inner Noise: the messages that build up in our heads from what we see and hear – in our feeds, group chats, and the expectations of people around us. Hear them often enough, and they start to shape the way we talk to ourselves… even when they don’t reflect what we really think
or need.
Not every thought is noise, and plenty is worth listening to. But when the unhelpful noise gets too loud, it can make it harder to open up and connect with others.
The good news: that noise doesn’t get the final say. You can learn to recognize it, turn it down, and turn up the part of you that wants to reach out.
Notice it. Question it. Choose connection.

Events
Sometimes the hardest part is simply deciding to go. Bring a friend, invite someone along, or come on your own. There’s no perfect way to show up. New events are being added, so check back.

This campaign comes from UNICEF’s Global Youth Mental Health Coalition, the largest private sector alliance dedicated to putting children and young people's mental health on the global agenda. The Coalition brings organisations together to secure real change and investment in youth mental health worldwide.
Every part of this campaign was shaped by the Coalition’s Gen Z Advisory Board. They told us what actually gets in the way of reaching out, then helped build the content and tools to turn it down.
Come back whenever it gets loud again.
